Heads of Sixth Form Student Leadership Cleo and Cristian joined Mrs Voss, Sixth Form Pastoral Support Tutor at the annual Warwick Rotary Club Scholars’ Lunch this week along with staff and students from Aylesford, Kings High and Warwick School Sixth Forms.
Local Rotarians gave short presentations about the Rotary Club, including its history and global campaigns, local work, and details of the many local charities offering support to help students access training and grants. For example, the Rotary Club of Warwick has recently provided travel scholarships to enable students to carry out gap year activities such as teaching in Africa.
Cleo and Cristian gave a presentation to the Rotary Club members about the charity events organised by Student Leadership, including the Sixth Form Charity Week and Oddballs Charity Day. Mrs Voss said “Cleo and Cristian were a credit to Myton School and we are looking forward to working closely with Warwick Rotary on various initiatives across the school in the coming year”.
